Main Level
During the final stages of the First Level all participants will receive an e-mail asking them whether they would like to be considered for the Main Level competition. Those who are interested will be asked to submit a few more details about themselves. Five hundred participants will then be invited to compete in the Main Level and will have a week to confirm their participation. Other participants with high scores will be put on the waiting list.
In the Main Level, DHL will organize participants into geographically representative groups of five which will be responsible for the successful and profitable international operations of a global logistics firm. Teams will have one week to organize themselves and work out how they are going to best communicate and manage their global operations. Their aim: to become one of the top three logistics companies, providing Express, Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Services to multiple industries.
Teams will be able to test their organization, communication and strategy in a test round and make any necessary improvements for the Main Level. The Main Level is an increasingly complex and challenging environment, teams will be faced with multifaceted operational and strategic decisions and must compete against nine other teams of their peers for market dominance.
The Main Level will run for seven weeks, each week is one year of simulated business which means that a long-term sustainable strategy is essential. Players will receive reports on their company's performance before each new period with which they can fine tune their decision making and strategy.
During the Main Level it is important that teams remains active. At least three team members must log into the site during each period - otherwise the team will be considered inactive and dismissed from the Game.
