Non-readable parts

Non-readable parts are anything that has a defective or, as a result of a mistake, no barcode (goods, shipments, etc.). This means that the parts cannot be “read” by a barcode scanner.

Non-vessel operating common carrier

The designation originated in the United States and describes companies that quote handling rates in their transactions with the United States and lodge them with the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission. They do not own their own ships. In Europe, the NVOCC is usually used in the freight-forwarding area of consolidated transports.

Non-vessel operator

A NVO is a carrier that charters ships but does not own any vessels itself. Such operators can also be companies that conduct transports with their own containers but do not own their own ships.

North American Free Trade Agreement

NAFTA defines the North American free trade zone. The agreement was signed by the United States, Canada and Mexico, and took effect in 1994. NAFTA is the world’s most important free-trade zone alongside the European Economic Area.
