Great distances and differences as a challenge
North and Latin America are united by their immense geographic reach. But, considerable differences exist in the region’s infrastructure. While the regional markets are closely linked as a result of the extremely high-performance rail network in the United States, there are considerable differences in the quality of logistics connections in the emerging markets of Latin America. Here, road-based transports play a considerably bigger role. As a result of immense growth rates, Brazil is expected to become a more important player over the long run.
