Africa is characterized by sweeping expanses of desert and a tropical climate. The population density between huge cities and desert regions is just as diverse as the political and economic conditions are. In this difficult environment, it is usually global players like DHL that succeed in creating and expanding a functioning logistics infrastructure. The exact opposite is the case in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates is not just making a name for itself among tourists. It is also becoming well known for its ambitious logistics projects. With its favorable location between Asia, Europe and Africa, Dubai views itself as a logistics hub. Today, a huge logistics center is already being constructed there. Its position is also being rapidly expanded.
